berries ripe for the picking!
For the last week, I have had a huge smile on my face because it is finally Raspberry Season!  Despite the hives I get picking them, I take great joy in harvesting raspberries from our backyard garden.  Every day this week has resulted in a bowl full of ripe, red and delicious berries for our family & guests to enjoy.  The best part is my very own Raspberry Kids, Jamie & Riley love picking the berries with me & have finally learned that the berries are not ripe until they turn red!  Hopefully this lesson will translate to my tomato plants because last year I found piles of green tomatoes stashed away under other plants in the garden!
I wanted to share an interesting tidbit I recently came across:
Did you know that our very own Abbotsford, BC is considered the Raspberry Capital of Canada?  Cool, eh?
We hope you have had the opportunity to enjoy some fresh berries this year & would love for you to email us your favorite raspberry recipes & we will feature some of them on our blog.  By the way, the picture to the left is not stock photography, this is a picture of berries from our very own Raspberry Patch!
With birthday season upon us, we encourage you to check out some great picks at

customer testimonials
& recent press:
Raspberry Kids Dante Beatrix backpacks were recently featured as the Savvymom Pick of the week!  These adorable backpacks are great for summer getaways, weekends at the grandparents or for those that plan ahead, they make cute back to school backpacks for preschoolers aged 2-5!  Many styles & colors to choose from and we are pleased to be adding to our Dante Beatrix collection later this summer.  Stay tuned.

Our gorgeous new & eco-friendly Smiling Planet plates were also featured on Yoyomama.  Here is a quote from the article, "Olivia Haviland d’Albis’ unique artwork whimsically connects peace, nature and the cosmos, and her designs are printed on the plates with non-toxic ink making the artwork scratchproof."

Considering how highly we think of the above online publications (and recommend you subscribe to them both!), we were tickled by these great reviews!  For more rave reviews, please visit our new and ever growing Raspberry Kids in the Press page.

As for our customers, here is what Krista from Milton, Ontario had to say:

Hi Sue,

Winning OOTMOB: Oh Deer!

"When my son Fabien was around 2 years old we used to say he had ants in his pants”.

One day he was jumping around with his hand in his pants and we asked him what he was doing.

He replied “I have antlers in my pants”.

We roared with laughter for quite a while. I still laugh about it."
